Our pump engineering seminars are taught by Chuck Gerbe, who has over 35 years of experience in specifying, selecting, and selling pumps and compressors in the industry. Chuck is a 1982 graduate from of Clarkson University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Distribution and has worked for Total Equipment for over 22 years with 13 years prior at Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor division. Chuck is also an adjunct professor teaching “Process Technology” at the Community College of Beaver County.
Curt Sittler, Total Equipment’s shop manager, teaches the introduction to pump maintenance. Upon completion of the intro course, Curt guides students into the shop where they will have the opportunity to participate in the tear-down of a Split Case Pump, End Suction Pump, and Air Diaphragm Pump. Seals and their proper installation are discussed along with the tools for proper alignment and pump installation.
